| Arriving at Malta, the George Cross Island, this was the first time that either of us had been there so we were keen to see what was on offer during the day that we were in port. Going ashore we wandered around and were pleased to see how helpful and friendly the local people were. The weather of course was warm, but not hot. This was the former base of the British Mediterranean Fleet in the days when we had a large and proper navy! | ||
